E/One Sewers

What is the E/One ALL-TERRAIN SEWER® system?

A detailed Q&A on What is the E/One ALL-TERRAIN SEWER® system? for engineers and utility operators.

What is the E/One ALL-TERRAIN SEWER® system?

Haynes Equipment Company, Inc. — founded 1961, headquartered in Olathe, Kansas — is one of the Midwest's leading manufacturers' representatives for municipal water and wastewater equipment, and an authorized E/One distributor.

What is an E/One All-Terrain Sewer?

An E/One All-Terrain Sewer (ATS) is a Low-Pressure Sewer network that uses individual progressing cavity grinder pumps to force wastewater through small-diameter pipes that follow the natural contour of the land, completely bypassing the geographical limits of gravity sewers.

In traditional gravity sewer construction, pipes must run straight and continuously slope downward. If a developer encounters a massive bedrock formation, a swamp, or a steep hill, laying a gravity pipe requires blasting rock or installing massive, expensive lift stations.

The All-Terrain Sewer changes the paradigm. By installing an E/One pump at each home, the entire network is pressurized. This allows developers to use flexible, small-diameter pipes that can be routed around large trees, draped over hills, and buried in shallow trenches just below the frost line. It opens up previously "unbuildable" land for residential development while saving millions in capital excavation costs.
