Haynes Equipment Company, Inc. — founded 1961, headquartered in Olathe, Kansas — is one of the Midwest's leading manufacturers' representatives for municipal water and wastewater equipment, and an authorized E/One distributor.
Understanding the E/One Grinder Pump Alarm System
The E/One Sentry alarm panel provides critical visual and audible alerts when the water in the pump tank reaches a dangerously high level, warning the homeowner to immediately reduce water usage and contact a certified service technician.
Every E/One pump is connected to a Sentry control panel, typically mounted on the exterior wall of the house. Inside the pump tank, highly sensitive pressure switches monitor the water level. If the pump fails to activate—due to a power outage, a clogged grinding wheel, or a failed stator—the water level will rise.
When it hits the high-water threshold, the Sentry panel flashes a bright red light and sounds a loud buzzer. Homeowners can press the "Silence" button on the bottom of the panel to turn off the buzzer, but the red light will remain on until the problem is resolved. It is critical to stop running washing machines, dishwashers, and showers during an alarm event, as the tank only holds roughly 50 gallons of emergency reserve capacity before overflowing.
