How to Troubleshoot an E/One Grinder Pump Alarm
If your E/One alarm sounds, silence the buzzer, immediately halt all household water usage, check your home's electrical breaker box for a tripped circuit, and if the breaker is fine, call an authorized service technician immediately.
An alarm event does not mean your house is immediately flooding. The E/One tank is designed with built-in reserve capacity, but the clock is ticking.
- Silence the Alarm: Press the button on the bottom of the Sentry panel.
- Stop the Flow: Do not flush toilets, take showers, or run the dishwasher.
- Check the Power: The pump runs on a dedicated 240V breaker in your main electrical panel. If it tripped during a storm, flip it completely off, then back on. If the pump kicks on and clears the tank, the red light will go out.
- Call for Service: If the breaker is not tripped, or if it instantly trips again when you reset it, the pump has a mechanical or electrical fault (often a wipe bound in the grinder). Do not attempt to open the tank yourself—call an authorized service center immediately.
